Brighton Orpheus Choirmore than 60 years of music-making
Last year the Brighton Orpheus Choir could have been celebrating the 65th
anniversary since its origins in 1942. But there's no hint of retirement yet!
Each year several concerts of high quality, with professional soloists and orchestra, are
put on. In the course of its long history the Choir has sung many of the major
choral works, both classical and more modern. The choir numbers around 100 members.
Rehearsals normally take place on Wednesday evenings in the main hall of Varndean
School, off Balfour Road, Brighton. We welcome new members who look
forward to hard work in learning and perfecting the performance of the music chosen for
each concert. |
