The Brighton Orpheus Choir was founded in 1948 and celebrated its 50th anniversary in 1998.  Since 1999 Stella Hull has been Conductor of the choir.   Each year several concerts of high quality, with professional soloists and orchestra, are put on.  For 51 years Patricia Harding directed the Choir, and in the course of more than half a century the Choir has sung many of the major choral works, both classical and more modern.  The choir numbers around 100 members.  Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings 7.30 - 9.30 pm, usually now in the main hall of Varndean School, off Balfour Road, Brighton.  We welcome new members who look forward to learning and perfecting the performance of the music chosen for each concert.
